In the past decade, global visibility and awareness of Korean culture has grown rapidly and a 鈥渉allyu鈥 (Korean Wave) has swept through cultural consumers worldwide. Global consumers are increasingly enjoying popular culture through music, film and other media content via different digital platforms. This has played a pivotal role in the rapid rise of hallyu. This talk will introduce you to contemporary Korean popular culture in the digital era which is centred around K-Pop and its dynamic cultural and social impact on global audiences.
